$5 cover.
$50 cash prize to first place.

10 poets compete - sign up list drops at 9 p.m. SHARP. Poets are selected via random draw. There is NO signing up before the event.

Round 1 - 10 poets
Round 2 - 5 poets
Round 3 - 3 poets

ABOUT THE FEATURE:
Teresa Johnson yells words about sharks and women and Republicans and people call it poetry I guess. She has represented Austin Neo-Soul at the National Poetry Slam three times, placing twice in Group Piece Finals and fourth place overall in 2016. She has also competed four times at Texas Grand Slam and is the 2016 Haiku Deathmatch Champion. Her work has been featured in theatrical performances, online newspapers, and five books, including her newest book, Virginity.

Committed to the local and national poetry slam scene, to developing poetic skill and stage presentation through classes, workshops, themed slams, group rehearsals and feature shows.
